ooc;; I normally play James in this genre, however I had to type up this introduction for another site. I'm not too crazy about it, but please join (no need to ask)!

I'm a little intellectual
Some one who knows it all
I could be your summer special
You could be my New York doll - my doll
I'm a little ...
Smarter than you
The Hogwarts library had quite a selection of books. Everything from spell-casting to the care of cats was shelved here in the school. The secrets hid behind these bound novels and yellowed pages could kill. That was a reason why the library was so enticing to Lily Evans. She could get lost in a different world, with adventures and without the efforts of the real world. Yes, becoming a wizard was like living in her own fantasy novel, however the costs of living with her magical powers made her almost regret the decision of coming to Hogwarts. Almost.
Perhaps you could spot her, if you looked closely. She sat behind a mound of books, studying. It was a stable table, thankfully, and although the sturdy oak was sound, the books’ weight was challenging the table to uphold them. There were far too many assignments. She would never finish by tomorrow.
Lily prided herself in her appearance. She normally took the time to apply a small amount of make-up, dress sharply, and look appropriate for whatever occasion she might be attending. Today, she was short of a mess. Her fiery red hair was tied up sloppily, and no efforts to paint on make-up that might disguise her lack of sleep were even attempted. She wore the proper school uniform as always, but her shirt was crumpled, and her skirt was on sideways. When she was focused on one subject that was all she ever thought about.
Her pale skin seemed pasty in the musty library. Her green eyes could hardly be kept open, yet she persevered at the task. Her eyes were one thing about her that was still radiant when she was this unattended to appearance wise. Her eyes displayed a knowing and confident glance, no matter what mood she might have been in. Though there were prominent bags under each of her eyes, they still looked feminine and beautiful. Her lips were a pale color, and though no lipstick was applied, they had a distinct shape to them.
It was the stress that was slowly killing her. Her strive for perfection was endless, and she didn’t know what she would turn into when she was through with Hogwarts. No school. No impossibly good grades to achieve. She lived for striving to be on the top of the class. That was just what she did. It was what made her tick. It was what scared her the most in life, not having a goal or a place to fit in.
Her stomach made an unattractive growling noise, and it was not until then that Lily realized just how hungry she was. She had skipped both Breakfast and Lunch, in attempts to make her work even more to perfection than it already was, and the lack of food was seriously catching up to her. She was beginning to shake as she wrote, a warning sign that she was in a bad state, and needed energy.
It was the least of her desires to head over to the Great Hall and eat. She would probably have to deal with obnoxious students, and it was a waste of her time to stuff her face even as quickly as possibly. She decided that she couldn’t ignore the needs of her body, and stood up.
Heading over to the dining area, she prayed that she wouldn’t have to come in contact with any taunting Slytherins, or worse, the Marauders. The bane of her existence. She never imagined before coming to Hogwarts that four boys could cause so much disturbance on her part. Well, two of them were on her bad side. In her own opinion, Remus was a nice boy, with the smarts to get grades through school and get on her good side, but the lack of brains to choose good friends. Peter tagged along with whatever the boys did, and was not too much concern to her. James and Sirius, however… that was a whole other subject matter.
The abiding by the rules of Hogwarts was a high priority in her book, and James and Sirius seemed to do whatever they could manage to break every single rule in Hogwarts history. It was an annoyance for her for one, but the fact that bothered her was that they had to involve HER in many of their silly little pranks. She supposed it was James’ way of flirting. How cute. They disregarded their grades, even though they had the potential to do very well. Ah, and their stubborn cockiness. If she heard one more thing about how James should be a model because of his beautiful wind blown hair, she might just have to cut it off. Lily could hardly figure out why James liked her, much less the reason why she should like him.
In her angered thoughts towards the troublesome boys, she hardly realized that she was already at the entrance to the Great Hall, and she entered the large room.
